AFRO-ASIAN ENG. EST (AAEE) was founded in Cairo, Egypt in 1961 as a private sector contracting firm, specializing in electromechanical works of sewage irrigation and drainage pumping stations.


In 1964, AAEE expanded its activity into Kuwait and Abu Dhabi with electrical projects such as cabling and installing street lighting.


In 1970, AAEE was selected by the Egyptian Rural Electricity Authority (REA) as an approved private sector contractor and was awarded several projects in Upper Egypt including: Overhead transmission lines 11,32K.V, Underground cabling and town rehabilitation projects.


In addition, AAEE expanded into the manufacturing of iron irrigation pumping station equipment such as irrigation gates, Overhead and Gantry cranes, grooves and cells at their Mustorod Industrial Zone Factory.


In 1991, AAEE extended its activities into the trading and exporting of metals, mainly aluminum and steel, as representatives of major metal manufacturers in Egypt and the Gulf States.
